Welcome to Tokyo Haneda Airport, where a delightful surprise awaits those who can play the piano and are visiting Japan from abroad. If you have some free time during your travels, we invite you to explore three enchanting locations within the airport where you can indulge in the pleasure of playing on wonderful street pianos. It’s worth noting that Haneda Airport has three terminals, and each terminal is equipped with a unique street piano for you to discover and enjoy.
Street Piano at Terminal 1
The street piano located in Terminal 1 can be found in the free space of THE HANEDA HOUSE area on the 5th floor of Terminal 1.This space serves as a rest area, and while it doesn’t have a high volume of foot traffic, it is considered the quietest location within Haneda Airport. The atmosphere is quite unique and different from the typical image of the airport. There are also familiar coffee shops and other amenities nearby, making it an enjoyable place to visit even if you’re not playing the piano.
When playing the piano, there are a few points to note. First, the available time for playing is limited to the hours of 15:00 to 18:00, so please keep that in mind. Second, the location of the street piano may be a bit challenging to find, as it is situated slightly farther away from the departure or arrival lobbies.
Place
The HANEDA HOUSE is located on the 5th floor of Terminal 1 at Haneda Airport, specifically at 3-2 Haneda Airport 3-chome, Ota-ku, Tokyo.

I recommend visiting the street piano when you have some extra time and can afford to take a leisurely stroll to reach the location. It’s a good idea to plan your visit when you have ample time to enjoy the experience without feeling rushed.
Street Piano at Terminal 2
That’s great to hear! It seems like the location of this street piano is conveniently easy to find among the three street pianos at Haneda Airport. Furthermore, the space itself is stylish, and the piano installed there produces a gentle and pleasant sound. It sounds like a wonderful place to enjoy playing or listening to music.
By the way, out of the three street pianos, I like the piano at this location the most. I especially enjoy the ambiance.
This location has a high volume of foot traffic, so when playing the piano, it is necessary to observe the following precautions:
- Playing time is limited to 10 minutes.
- Ensemble with other instruments is not allowed (duets are permitted).
- Excessively intense or loud playing is prohibited.
- Please wear a mask while playing.
Place
Mercedes me Haneda Airport is located on the basement 1 floor of the Terminal 2 passenger terminal in Haneda Airport, at 3-4-2 Haneda Airport, Ota-ku, Tokyo.

Street Piano at Terminal 3
The street piano at Terminal 3 is equipped with a wine red upright piano. Among the three street pianos at Haneda Airport, I believe this location offers the most accessible opportunity for playing.
Terminal 3 offers a wide range of Japanese food restaurants, making it an excellent destination for those seeking Japanese cuisine. With its diverse selection of Japanese restaurants, it caters well to individuals looking for authentic Japanese dining experiences.
However, it is worth noting that this place is the farthest from the international terminals. I recommend using the complimentary shuttle bus to reach there for convenience and efficiency.
Place
The Haneda Airport Garden is located on the 2nd floor at 2-7-1 Haneda Airport, Ota-ku, Tokyo.

The location indicated by Google Maps and the position of the street piano are slightly different. The location shown in the image below is where you can find the street piano.

I introduced the three street pianos at Haneda Airport. There are over 600 street pianos installed throughout Japan. Some of them are even decorated, so I encourage you to explore and find them.
