Notes on piano playing
- If you disinfect your hands with alcohol before playing, please make sure your hands are completely dry before playing.
- When waiting for your turn to play, please line up according to the markers on the floor.
- Each performance is limited to 10 minutes per person, including preparation time before and after.
- When playing, please play gently and do not hit the keys too hard.
- Please keep the roof (the top part of the piano) closed and be considerate of the volume when playing.
- Photography is prohibited inside the museum unless the museum gives prior permission.
- During piano performances, photography is permitted only around the piano, and only of the performers.
- Please refrain from taking photos that may disturb other customers.
- If any nuisance behavior is confirmed, you will be prohibited from using the piano for any period of time.
- Please refrain from playing anything other than piano (performance performances, sessions with other instruments, singing, etc.). Also, please refrain from dancing, performances, interviews, speeches, etc. in the square.
- Please do not make prior announcements on social media, etc. with the aim of attracting customers.
- Please refrain from advertising performers’ activities (handing out flyers for live performances, etc.) or engaging in commercial activities (tipping, selling tickets, etc.).
- If we observe any behavior that causes damage to the piano or that results in rough handling, you may be asked to pay compensation.
- Furthermore, if you do not comply with requests from museum staff, we may ask you to discontinue use of the piano.
