The purpose of installing street pianos

Toshima ward is carrying out the “Downtown Classical Music Project” to create a town where pleasant classical music is played throughout the ward. As part of this project, station pianos that anyone can enjoy playing have been installed in Tokyo Metro Kaname stations.

Customers with white canes who rely on surrounding sounds to navigate will also be allowed through.

• If any guests are carrying white canes, we ask that you temporarily halt the performance.
• Some people find loud noises unpleasant, so please play the piano gently and with care.
