The street piano we’d like to introduce to you today is located at Keisei Ueno Station.
Keisei Ueno Station is also on the train route to Narita Airport, so it’s frequented by many foreign visitors.
It’s also a street piano that you can see many foreigners playing.
Piano Type : Upright Piano
This street piano is very easy to play.
The piano itself has been soundproofed, making it a quiet street piano.
How the street piano was installed
The event was carried out with the cooperation of Tokyo University of the Arts (headquarters: Taito-ku, Tokyo; President: Katsuhiko Hibino; hereafter referred to as “Tokyo University of the Arts”), a national university corporation, with the aim of creating a lively station space through music. Our company has concluded a “Comprehensive Agreement on Collaboration and Cooperation” with Tokyo University of the Arts regarding improving the appeal of the Keisei area and promoting culture and tourism. Based on this agreement, we received a piano that had been used by students at the university for practice and installed it in the station.

This street piano has been designed to be soundproof.
It’s easy to play even for beginners.
In Japan, street pianos are a place where many Japanese people play, but you often see people from overseas playing here as well.
There aren’t many street piano spots where you can listen to music from people from other countries, so this is a great spot.
